Notes and photos from nearly two weeks on the road.
Are you just skipping ahead to the summary? Or have you browsed most of the days and want some final thoughts? Just checking.
Anyway, the trip was fantastic. That, obviously, is too brief a summary.
The night in Carey, ID is easily the most bizarrely entertaining. The pub on University of Washington’s campus reminded me of Town Hall (except for the dart boards). Portland is a great city, Eugene is a campus, Seattle is gorgeous and Vancouver, WA is close to Portland. I never want to drive more than twenty-four hours non-stop again.
Culinarily speaking, the best food, by far, was had for free courtesy of Ryan. The man can cook but maybe it’s more the oils and spices than skill—hard to say.
Other photos are available on Flickr and (for those in the know) Picasa.
Thanks again to Fish, Ryan, Nick, Ellie, Amy, Phavy, Chris, Aaron, Dani, Emma, Ashley, Kirsten and assorted school representatives for varying reasons. It was fun meeting those I hadn’t met and seeing those I had.
